The OG Loaf
Classic sourdough - crackling crust, open crumb, naturally leavened. The one that started it all.
Every loaf starts with a starter fed by hand, baked in small batches from a home kitchen. No shelves, no walk-ins - just fresh bread and cookies made the week you order them.
Because Bun Intended bakes to order, this is the actual sequence - not a formality.
Orders open Monday and close Wednesday at 11:59pm, so the week's batch can be planned.
Dough is mixed and shaped over Friday and Saturday, then left to slow-proof overnight for a better crumb.
Everything bakes fresh Sunday morning - pickup happens that same afternoon.
Order windows, prep, bake, and pickup - updated every week.
Bun Intended is a cottage food operation based in Jacksonville - everything is baked in a home kitchen, in batches small enough to bake by hand, one week at a time.
That means no walk-in shop and no shipping - just direct, order-ahead pickup, one weekly bake, and bread made the way sourdough is supposed to be made: slowly.
